A walking tour with Albert Hosp through the old town in Stein. He describes the heritage of landmark buildings and musicians. Afterwards, a tour with Regular Dettwiler, curator of her exhibition “Unforgettable” (Unvergesslich) in the State Gallery of Lower Austria.

Stein an der Donau is part of the UNESCO World Culture and Heritage Wachau region. The special atmosphere of this region has inspired and influenced many musicians. Albert Hosp, Artistic Director of the festivals Imago Dei and Glatt&Verkehrt, leads a walking tour through the backstreets of Stein and, en route, explores the importance of authenticity in music. Several sound samples from different historic eras accompany the tour. An exceptional exhibition in the State Gallery of Lower Austria is dedicated to the Swiss artist Regula Dettwiler. Dettwiler is interested in exploring messages and stories that plants communicate.

Her poetic installation on the ground floor of the State Gallery comprises natural and artificial flowers. The artist plays with the differences between real specimens and plastic replicas and their symbolic value. “Unforgettable”, according to museum director Gerda Ridler, is a great sentimental archive of private emotions that are made available to the public in the museum for a limited time.
